I don't know why I'm writing about this, maybe because I just finally replaced the threaded knob that tightens it, but this is my favorite lighting hardware I have. By hardware, I mean stands, clamps, the boring stuff that keeps lights and cameras standing. I don't know who made this, because there are no labels besides for engraved serial numbers, but it was gifted to me by a photographer who is at the end of his career. It's this big iron dinosaur that was built in the 1950s, and I legitimately can't find another stand identical to this on the Internet. The boom arm has a permanent (I think) weight attached to the end of it, and the boom arm is about 6 feet long weighs about 34lbs on its own. The stand raises to about 12 feet. If you find one or know more about it, please let me know. This thing is like 70 years old and it olds up my big octobox and light and moves around on wheels and I wish I had another one.
Oh, and yes, my photo studio is a normal 2 car garage! It's a little cleaner now, this photo was from 2023, a month or two after I got the thing.
