Fishing Game Updates
So since the last time I updated this website, I kind of went ham working on that fishing game. I almost have it to a point where I feel comfortable setting it down, sharing it with others, and pausing development for a while. If anything, it'll be in a "releasable" demo state, and whether or not I do anything more with it after that point is undetermined, I'll just be happy to have brought that project that far.
So what is the game? It's a chill fishing chat game where you unlock modules that each have their own ambient tracks and special easter eggs to explore. That's it. As you unlock more modules, you add more layers to sonic ambience, which you can adjust the volume of each module to customize the perfect relaxing background vibe for yourself.
So what do I have left to do? Whelp, I need to...
A. Add a shop with at least 5 interesting items. So far these items are a fishing chair (slows down the pointer on the skill slider for easier time fishing, but also slows down the frequency of fish biting), a swiss army knife (5 functions, 1 of which will be randomizing all volume parameters), a fishing trap that catches fish for you passively as long as you have the website open in a tab or something, a radio maybe (?), and I have no idea what the other item will be.
B. Polishing up some of the tiles and their animations, polishing the sounds (volume adjustments, finding the right sound for the rockyfields), and adding the names of each module to the game so players can refer to them easier.
C. Adding more easter eggs. Each module should have at least one interactive element, whether that's reoccurring or that's an item to pick up. I would like to add a fox that steals fish, for example.
D. Needs more commands!! I have no idea what commands to add for chat.
Anyway, that's all for now. This is what the fully unlocked game looks like right now, feel free to right click the image below and open in new tab to zoom.
