X220 Complete
For the past few weeks the X220 I picked up for $37 has been sitting around looking like this:

That's not at all how it arrived, in fact I had been in the process of refurbishing and modding it, applying new thermal paste, upgrading the network card to 5ghz, flashing the Libreboot firmware to neuter Intel M.E., and desoldering the microphones just for fun, to maybe advertise it as an ultra private device XD
The laptop was in really great condition, except for some chips and scuffs in the top lid that I didn't like. I decided to order a replacement for the laptop lid in the display assembly, and I finally got it yesterday. I'm a little proud of how it turned out.

The image before is all the wiring and display components sans the display itself moved into the new display back panel. The image below is the old one, now empty, from which I transplanted all these components.

And here is the laptop finally completely reassembled after all the mods, cleaning, refurbishing, and I'm really happy with the way it turned out!

Look how clean that lid looks!
