Behold: the Onio-System

Probably the biggest update to this website I've made since 2023.. I added a solar system - the Onio System! You can explore it, hover over planets to hear their sounds, click planets to explore other pages(most of them don't go anywhere special yet.) I think this solar system will fulfill the function of a projects menu, linking to different web projects and experiments I make. I may add little easter eggs as time goes on.

Note: it does need JavaScript enabled to work.

Features:
- A sun that gets bigger when you hover over it.
- Cute lil space themed emoji cursors.
- Its own "error" page for links that don't go anywhere yet.
- Hover effects, orbital paths light up, planet labels and a spaceship emoji cursor appears when hovering over a planet.
- Background ambient track and a little sound effect for each planet.
- TWO asteroid belts. Yes, look closely, there are asteroids!
- Moons that orbit around the planets.

It feels good to get it up, especially as I didn't really jive with the "thoughts" section. I'd removed blog entries that were of a personal nature until eventually the "thoughts" page had become more of just an update page, and now it doesn't really feel fitting to have a separate section in the menu for it. However, for the longest time, I just didn't know what to replace it with! Now we know :) I'll still have an updates page running that is accessible from the front page via the "Read more" link in the Cafe News section. :)

Other updates: I revamped the personal web section in the links page to show buttons, and reorganized some other links.
